What is an AUC Open Day?
Open Days are a great opportunity for both students and parents to find out more about AUC's academic programme, admissions policies, the campus, student life and the many aspects that contribute to making the AUC experience both excellent and diverse.
During an Open Day, you will be able to learn all about AUC's unique liberal arts and sciences curriculum with information on: the majors and many areas of study, the emphasis on sciences at AUC, residential life in Amsterdam, what it's like to be an AUC student, our various community projects and internship opportunities, studying abroad, the student association, social life and much more!
Registration and Welcome Presentaton time
Register for your desired Welcome Presentation time above. The times listed indicate when the Welcome Presentation by the Dean will begin. We ask that you register for one of these sessions, as it provides an in-depth introduction to both AUC and the Open Day experience.
The Welcome Presentation is given two times over the course of the day to ensure everyone has the chance to see it. There is no difference in content between the sessions or the activities that follow the Welcome Presentation. Simply choose the time that suits you best.
Organised by
Amsterdam University College (AUC) offers a liberal arts and sciences programme, leading to a joint Bachelor (Honours) degree from the University of Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. AUC is based on the American liberal arts and sciences model, with the students living and studying together on an international campus located in Amsterdam Science Park. The programme is entirely English-taught, small-scale and selective, with a maximum of 300 students admitted each year based on their academic performance and motivation.
Students major in the sciences, social sciences or humanities. Substantial emphasis is placed on the sciences, offering a thorough in-depth training in disciplinary sciences such as physics, biology, informatics, earth and environmental sciences and bio-medicine, but also requiring immersion in other fields of study. All AUC students undertake a community service project or an internship, and AUC offers a wide range of study abroad opportunities. For more information, visit the AUC website: www.auc.nl.
